Where Do I Need To GROW UP? Part 7 Baptism- Fertile Ground for Growth 2/18/24 Verses used parts 1-5::1 Peter 2:1-5, Rom 12:1-3, Heb 5:11-14, Heb 6:1-3, 1 Cor 3:1-4, Eph 4:7-24, Romans 8:1-14, Eph 5:8-17, Prov 10:17,12:1, 13:18,15:31-33, 1 Cor 13:9, Ps 40:8, Romans 10:14-17, James 1:22, Col 1:24-chp2:6, Matt 28:18-20, Titus 2:1-8   Titus 3:3-ESV  For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. 4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.    * washing ^immersion, bath, laver, water basin,    **regeneration^ new birth, into new life   We get baptized per the instruction of Jesus (Matt 28:19) Baptism does not save us. But it is one of the first steps of OBEDIENCE. It sets up fertile grown for Growth. YOU HAVE A NEW IDENTITY IN CHRIST IF YOU are not IDENTIFYING yourself IN CHRIST  You wont grow…you will just struggle.             BE WASHED OFF of YOURSELF The baptism tank represents a burial ground of who you thought you were   And who “they” thought you were  it’s a release and it’s a receiving   YOU are MADE ACCEPTABLE IN HIM (Eph 1:6) YOU are MADE RIGHTEOUS IN HIM (2 Cor 5:21) YOU are FREED from CONDEMNATION and the law of sin and death IN HIM (Rom 8:1,2) YOU are NO LONGER ALONE. YOU are now a vital part of other believers and you are IN HIM (Romans 12:5) YOU Triumph/WIN in CHRIST (2 Cor 2:14) YOU are not far from God. What separated you from GOD is GONE in CHRIST ( 2 Cor 3:14) YOU are identified as GOD’s own child IN Christ (Gal 3:26)         YOU HAVE DIVINE PURPOSE-you were CREATED in CHRIST to do GOOD WORKS, His Works (Eph 2:10, John 14:12)   WATER baptism is a physical act that should permanently mark your mind with the reality of your union with Jesus Christ And that is the best GROUND to grow IN. IN HIM is a SECURE place.   Rom 6:1-NIV What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! Part 6 Titus Two 2/11/24 Verses used parts 1-5::1 Peter 2:1-5, Rom 12:1-3, Heb 5:11-14, Heb 6:1-3, 1 Cor 3:1-4, Eph 4:7-24, Romans 8:1-14, Eph 5:8-17, Prov 10:17,12:1, 13:18,15:31-33, 1 Cor 13:9, Ps 40:8, Romans 10:14-17, James 1:22, Col 1:24-chp2:6, Matt 28:18-20, Titus 2:1,2 Heb 5:11 …“by this time you ought to be teachers” Titus 2:3- KJV 3 The aged (mature) women likewise, that they be in behavior (demeanor, not just actions, movements, speech, expression) as becometh holiness (as in sacred service, as a person consecrated, set apart and devoted to God for His use) (Adam Clarke: be adorned with holiness within & without) , not false accusers, (Diabolos- the devil Rev 12 accuser of the brethren, slanderer, spreading criticisms)  not given to much wine, (enslaved, intoxicated, drunkenness and impurity are closely related, Matthew Henry: don’t justify any excesses) teachers of good things; (be teachers of beautiful things TPT, right things) IS this something you want the next generation to DO AND INCREASE IN? 4 That they may teach (discipline, correct and make of sound mind) the young women to be sober (wise, self-regulated, un-intoxicated) , to love their husbands, LOVE= philadros –to be fond of, affectionate with as a wife, to be lovers of their husbands to love their children, PHILOTEKNOS- to be fond of, maternal   (2 tim 2 not having natural affection)(Barnes: Christianity reproduces natural affection when sin has weakened or destroyed it. It is the design of Christianity to recover and invigorate all the lost or weakened sensibility of our nature.) this could apply to maternal or paternal! 5 To be discreet, (self-controlled, using good judgment, curbing desires and impulses)  chaste, (pure in heart and in lifestyle)    keepers at home, (workers, not neglecting home, guardians of the house, managers of home- 1 Tim 5:14, Prov 31, 2 Tim 3:6)    good, (kind)   obedient to their own husbands, (put oneself under) EPH 5:21- Col 3:18,19   that the word of God be not blasphemed. (dishonored, reproach on the gospel)   6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. (moderate, sound minded)   7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, (purity, honesty, genuine)   8 Sound speech, (logos-communication and what’s behind it)  that cannot be condemned; (doesn’t need censoring)   that he that is of the contrary part (antagonistic) may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.   LIVE to teach the gospel SO others will LIVE to teach the gospel THIS is MATURING

Part 5 What do They Need to Mature? 2/4/24 susan allen Verses used parts 1-4::1 Peter 2:1-5, Rom 12:1-3, Heb 5:11-14, Heb 6:1-3, 1 Cor 3:1-4, Eph 4:7-24, Romans 8:1-14, Eph 5:8-17, Prov 10:17,12:1, 13:18,15:31-33, 1 Cor 13:9, Ps 40:8, Romans 10:14-17, James 1:22 John Last week: we have ability to learn, gain knowledge, life will present an opportunity to apply what we have learned   Col 1:24-2:6 ESV Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me. No matter where you are in your Christian walk…you are walking ahead of someone in some area of your faith.   Matt 28:18 KJV And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Titus 2:1-NIV You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. (KJV: Speak thou the things which become sound doctrine) 2 Teach the older (aged, mature) men to be temperate (sober, not intoxicated, self-restraint, vigilant) , worthy of respect (grave, honorable), self-controlled, and sound in faith (rooted in sound Biblical doctrine), in love (agape)  and in endurance (patience). (the fruit of ripened experience. A life of faith that has developed patience) Maturity doesn’t excuse itself for what it doesn’t know, maturity desires to seek out and learn.  Where do I need to mature? Where do they need to mature? The truth is, we can complain or we can LEAD.

    I present my body, emotions and my mind to you and you alone Father God. When I choose your Word over my own thoughts and feelings, my mind is renovated and renewed. I say no to unhealthy thoughts and receive mental health in Jesus Name. Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   Father you gave me the power to be self-disciplined. You did not give me the spirit of fear but the spirit of POWER, the spirit of LOVE and a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.   Father you are my mental rest. My mind and emotions gain strength when I am in your presence. I will take time with you today and you will give me rest. Matt 11:28-29 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.   This is a spiritual battle so I will fight it your way. Through you I can control my thoughts. I cast down any imaginations that are not from you by thinking and using my imagination to meditate on you and what your Word says about me. I take every thought captive by thinking and saying what your Word says. 2 Cor 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;   I cast the care and weight of this thing on you because you care for me and you carried this mental burden for me on the cross so I could be free. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.   You gave me your peace. I accept that peace now. I will not let anything steal my peace. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.   I RE-JOY in you. I am thankful that you are near whither I feel it or not. I will not be anxious about anything because I am talking to you about everything! I am thankful for all you have done and are doing in my life. Your peace guards my heart and my mind. I get to choose my thoughts and I choose what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise. I will do what I know to do from your Word and your peace will be with me. Phil 4:4-9 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.   I have the mindset of Christ because I HOLD His thoughts and refuse any others. 1 Cor 2:16 But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.   I will set an atmosphere of praise so I can have an atmosphere of hope.  Ps 42:11 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

    Healing Scriptures 1 Peter 2:24 He personally bore my sins in His [own] body on the tree m [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that I might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds I have been healed. (I HAVE BEEN healed) Isa 53:4-5 Surely my sicknesses he hath borne, And my pains — he hath carried them, And we — we have esteemed him plagued, Smitten of God, and afflicted.5 And he is pierced for my transgressions, Bruised for my iniquities, The chastisement of my peace [is] on him, And by his bruise there is healing to me. (HE carried it! I don’t have to…I WON’T)     Mal 4:2 But unto those who revere and worshipfully fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings and His beams, and you shall go forth and gambol like calves [released] from the stall and leap for joy. (He makes me ALIVE, active and FULL of energy)                      Ex 23:25 And I shall serve the Lord my God, and he shall bless my bread, and my water; and He will take sickness away from the midst of me. (HE TAKES sickness from me) 3 John 2 I prosper and I am in health, even as my soul prospereth. (I will do what prospers my soul and health will follow)   Isa 58:6-8 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward. ( I do the works of Christ and my health SPRINGS FORTH SPEEDILY)    Prov 16:24 My Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to my bones. (I will speak pleasant words and they are health to my bones and to my mind) Prov 4:20-23 I attend to His words; I incline my ear unto His sayings. I do not let them depart from my eyes; I keep them in the midst of my heart. For they are life unto me, and health to all my flesh.  I Keep my heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of my life. (HIS WORDS ARE LIFE TO ME AND HEALTH TO EVERY CELL OF MY BODY)         Prov 3:7-8 I will not be wise in mine own eyes: I fear the Lord, and depart from evil.8 It shall be health to my navel, and marrow to my bones. (THE FEAR & AWE OF THE LORD, IT BRINGS HEALTH to my VERY CORE and to the MARROW of my BONES)     Ps 43:5  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. (HE IS MY HEALTH and it is evident)          Ps 107:20-21 He sent His word and healed me, And delivered me from my destructions.  Oh, that men would give thanks to my Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! (HE HEALED ME with HIS WORD so I make known His goodness and wonderful works with my words) Luke 4:18-21  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.( I AM FREE)   Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (I CHOOSE LIFE) Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (I SPEAK LIFE)

My Health is PRESENT in HIS WORD 1/30/22 susan allen Prov 4:20 AMP 20 My son, attend (give your attention) to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, (attain, possess, keep present) healing and health (cure, medicine, remedy, profitable) to all their flesh. Ps 107:20 NIV He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Isa 53:4 AMP Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].  [Matt 8:17.] 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. Ps 103:2 AMP 2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits —  3 Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; 5 Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle's [strong, overcoming, soaring]!  [Isa 40:31.] 1 Peter 2:24 kjv Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. *Smith Wigglesworth“The devil never lets go of the flesh until he is forced to” Mark 11:23,24, Luke 17:6  speak to your own body in faith Ask the elders of the church to anoint you with oil James 5:14-15 Have hands laid on you by a believer Mark 16:17 kjv17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Healing is very present…it exists in the realm of faith *Smith Wigglesworth: “I believe in compete healings. If the healing is not manifested, it is there all the same. It is inactive because of inactive faith, but it is there. God has given it. How do I know? They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Whose word is that? That is God’s Word. So I have faith today.” Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Healing is very present…it exists in the realm of faith *Smith Wigglesworth: “I believe in compete healings. If the healing is not manifested, it is there all the same. It is inactive because of inactive faith, but it is there. God has given it. How do I know? They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Whose word is that? That is God’s Word. So I have faith today.” Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring! 13 I am talking to you Gentiles. Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Commanded: commissioned, ordered, appointed, ordained   IS THIS SOMETHING GOD HAS PUT in my ASSIGNMENT FOLDER?     Partnering With God 10/29/23 susan allen Gen 1:26-AMP  God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.  [Ps 104:30; Heb 1:2; 11:3.] 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.  [Col 3:9,10; James 3:8,9.] 28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.   Gen 2:15 AMP  And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. Ps 115:16 AMP The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth has He given to the children of men. Heb 11:3 AMP  By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.  (Vine’s the ages have been prepared) WHAT is in GOD’s hands and what is in man’s hands? The simple is BOTH By God’s delegated authority to us, there are things we can speak to And by God’s delegated authority there are things we PRAY about in the name of JESUS   example JESUS (Son of God and Son of man) Mark 4:35-KJV And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?   In Chapter 5 we see Him commanding an unclean spirit to come out of a man.He has authority to do that (Luke 10 He gives us the power to do that) But then in Luke we see Jesus PRAY for Simon Peter…not command him   Luke 22:31-ESV  “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”   Why did JESUS not just COMMAND PETER, like HE DID THE unclean spirit? The wind/waves? The authority in Genesis never gave us authority over mankind MANKIND was made in the image and likeness of GOD.   GOD doesn’t even cross that line THIS IS WHY SUBMISSION to AUTHORITY is REQUIRED (to place yourself under) WE have to understand this in praying for other people and Circumstances that involve other people. God cannot JUST CHANGE THEM God partners with us in prayer to give every opportunity for them to submit to His will   “As John Wesley once said, “God does nothing but in answer to prayer.”1* Prayer is therefore not an option for mankind but a necessity. If we don’t pray, heaven cannot interfere in earth’s affairs. It is imperative that we take responsibility for the earth and determine what happens here by our prayer lives.” ― Myles Monroe, Understanding The Purpose And Power Of Prayer

Part 3 & Review 1/21/24   Review week 1: KNOWLEDGE without APPLICATION is FOOLISH (James 1) R.Renner “Knowledge without application becomes boring and unfulfilling --every time” 1 Peter 2:1-, Heb 5:11-, 1 Cor 3:1-, Maturity: The ability to respond to the environment in an appropriate manner. This includes the ability to control emotions, act responsibly and consider the well-being of oneself and others. The ability to make well informed decisions. Review week 2 carnal or spiritual: Eph 4:10-, 1 Cor 3:1-3, Romans 8:6 Spiritual: non carnal, to live a life guided by the born again spirit. Regenerate (regrow-the ability to regrow new tissue to replace lost or injured tissue. To bring new, more vigorous life to something through something new. Reborn) Carnal: fleshly, un-regenerate, not changed, a life driven by the flesh Make two columns. One labeled Carnal, One labeled spiritual. God through these verses and put the “indicators” of carnal and spiritual into the correct column. Carnal: not growing, tossed (controlled by outward circumstances), easily deceived, imitate the life of unbelievers, unfruitful thinking, darkened understanding, separated Kingdom living, chosen ignorance, hardened heart, lost sensitivity, indulging in impurity, driven by lust, overriding convictions, holds on to old self, refuses strong Word, envy, strife, division, slow to learn, no understanding of righteousness, do not practice the Word they have heard, can’t distinguish good from evil,   Spiritual: growing, anchored in sound doctrine, speaks the truth in love, unity, active in the body of believers, imitates God, productive thinking, sees to be enlightened in the truth, partakers of Zoe life (God kind of life), pliable/teachable heart, sensitive to spirit, overrides the flesh, seeks to hear sound teaching, puts off old self, puts on new self, determined to mature, willing to take strong Word, able to teach (share), has an understanding of righteousness, practice the Word they’ve heard, can distinguish good from evil,           Where Do I Need To GROW UP? Part 3 What am I “MIND”ing? 1/21/24 Eph 5:1 Be followers of God as dear children Eph 5:8-NIV For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." 15 Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.   Rom 8:1-KJV There is therefore now no condemnation (adverse sentence, verdict) to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh (live, occupy oneself with), but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned (judged against) sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh (as a companion or votary), but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind (have their minds set on) the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit (have their minds set on) the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity (in opposition, hostile) against God: for it is not subject (submitted, responsive)  to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (the carnal mind can’t be if you are minding/submitted to the flesh)8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (be agreeable)9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead (powerless) because of sin; but the Spirit is life (zoe) because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (vitalize, make alive) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.   12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify (kill) the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.   Walking in the flesh you will see your weaknesses but walking in the spirit you will see His strength The flesh does not like correction or direction Prov 15:31-33 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise. 32 He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. 33 The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Prov 10:17 He who heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. Prov 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. Prov 13:18 He who ignores discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored. Prov 15:12 A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise.   Do I know/understand what the WILL OF THE LORD is? then What am I “MINDING”?

To bring new and more vigorous life to something through something NEW. Reborn.   CARNAL: fleshly, unregenerate, not changed- a life driven by the flesh   Mankind was made to thrive in maturing. In the maturing in our CHRISTIANITY many retire at birth. Then they wait to die.   Our Spiritual/Carnal Columns: Carnal: tossed, easily deceived, imitate the life of unbelievers, unfruitful thinking, darkened understanding, separated from the zoe life, chosen ignorance, hardened heart, lost sensitivity, indulging in impurity, driven by lust, overrides convictions, holds on to old self, refuses the strong Word, envy, strife, division, Spiritual: growing in Christ, anchored in sound doctrine, speaks the truth in love, unity, active in the body of believers, imitates God, productive thinking, seek to be enlightened in the truth, partakers of Zoe, pliable/teachable heart, sensitive, override the flesh, seek to hear the teaching of truth, put off old self, put on new self, determined to mature, willingly take strong Word   WHERE DO I NEED TO GROW UP?     Where Do I Need To GROW UP? 1/7/24 susan allen   We can measure our spiritual maturity in different areas of our lives by our response   KNOWLEDGE without APPLICATION is FOOLISH (James 1) RRenner “Knowledge without application becomes boring and unfulfilling --every time The mature TAKE knowledge and PUT it to work in their lives… 1 Peter 2:1 NIV Therefore, (chpt 1 calls us to a life of holiness) rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. 4 As you come to him, the living Stone — rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (see Romans 12:1-)   Heb 5:11-NIV We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. 12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so.   What is the difference between Milk and solid food? WHAT IS THE BENEFIT of solid food over an all milk diet? There is a healthy transition from milk to meat   1 Cor 3:1 NIV Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly — mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 4 For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men? AMP: 1 HOWEVER, BRETHREN, I could not talk to you as to spiritual [men], but as to nonspiritual [men of the flesh, in whom the carnal nature predominates], as to mere infants [in the new life] in Christ 2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not yet strong enough [to be ready for it]; but even yet you are not strong enough [to be ready for it], 3 For you are still [unspiritual, having the nature] of the flesh [under the control of ordinary impulses]. For as long as [there are] envying and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men?   Titus 2 calls out the aged to be mature example setters, a pattern to live by and teachers of beautiful/good things   Maturity: Maturity can be defined as the ability to respond to the environment in an appropriate manner. This includes the ability to control emotions, act responsibly, and consider the well-being of oneself and others. The ability to make well informed decisions.   We can measure our spiritual maturity in different areas of our lives by our response. Where do I need to grow up?

Parenting in Grace and Faith Happy Mother’s Day 5/14/23 YOU MIGHT HAVE MADE SOME MISTAKES RAISING YOUR KIDS JUST AS Eph 2:8 tells us that by HIS GRACE we are saved (delivered) through faith, WE PARENT by His Grace and are delivered through faith   We cannot afford to let our “parenting regrets” override HIS GRACE in our minds , or we WILL NOT be able to operate in FAITH concerning our children His grace is greater than our mistakes Accept His Grace and let HIM put His INFLUENCE INTO the situation Do not underestimate the power of GOD’S GRACE in your parenting STORY PRAY over your situation, YOUR CHILDREN….NOT IN FEAR, not our of regret BUT IN FAITH THE PRAYER of FAITH is the way we take our FEARS off of our children and place THEM in the hands of God            FEAR based parenting is not beneficial to our kids            REGRET based parenting is not beneficial to our kids FEAR is transferrable by WORDS, but so is FAITH Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing.   BEGIN to SEED the WORD. You do not water the Word with worry or negative words, you water it with praise and you rest in faith expecting a harvest/change Do not let fear in during the process of time     Ps 37:25-NIV I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. 26 They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.   Ps 103:17 NIV But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children —   Ps 112:1-NIV Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands.2 His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.   Ps 115:13-NIV  he will bless those who fear the Lord — small and great alike. 14 May the Lord make you increase, both you and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the Lord,the Maker of heaven and earth.   Ps 113:9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. They hunger and thirst after righteousness. They seek you and find you. They love you with their whole heart, mind and soul. Anything that tries to come between you is removed from their lives. I have taught them of you and your ways and they will never depart from it. My children bring me joy and not sorrow. They rise up and call me blessed. I have lent them to you for your service- they have found their place in you. You have placed Godly friendships and relationships in their life-they desire none else. Your Holy Spirit resides on the inside of them, working constantly on their behalf-showing them things, warning them and leading them in the path of righteousness. Satan cannot in anyway have my children-they have been yours since the day of conception-they will never serve another. I have taught them of you therefore they have great peace. You have created in them a clean heart-set apart for your service. I will not fear. I will not be moved by what I see. I put my trust in you. I rest now in your Words to me concerning my children and I consider it done from this day forward-I will not pick up this care again-But I will praise you for what you are doing in their lives and what they are doing for you. The end result is what you have promised.

    HOMEGROWN 5/7/23 RCC FAMILY DAY  Deut 6:5 NKJV (page 211   see the green 6  then small numbers in the sentences find little number 5)  5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently (intensely, pierce) to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Sow the Word into your family by what they see,  what they hear, what is said, and all along the “way” in their actions and your actions in daily life. A good godly life does not come from outside things…the best is HOMEGROWN You ARE growing something at home and the fruit will show you if you need to sow differently. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE the POWER OF your HOME ENVIRONMENT THIS takes time and effort. MAKE time. The harvest is worth it. Eph 5:15,16 speaks of not being foolish but making the MOST of EVERY OPPORTUNITY because the days are evil/hurtful/fierce  (page 1399 look for the small numbers 15,16) IF we want a good life…there are seeds we should pick to sow Not literally in the grown, but in the choices that we make When we mess up and plant (do) the wrong thing we dig that seed up by asking for forgiveness and by forgiving each other A peaceful, good, and godly home doesn’t just happen…It’s homegrown. We need to start sowing for it today and giving it our time and attention.  Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Men will be self-focused, self-centered, self-absorbed, self-consumed, and in love with themselves more than anyone else. In fact, every imaginable type of covenant will be regularly violated, and the court system will be overwhelmed as people go overboard, suing and being sued. People will generally lose the ability to say no and will be unable to control their instincts in nearly every area of life. People will become savage, and it will eventually feel like there are no laws to protect the innocent.  People will find it easy to walk away from commitments and to easily throw away relationships. They will become reckless, impulsive, and known for their enjoyment of violence. They will become full of pride and inflated with a sense of their own self-importance—to the extent that it may end up feeling like society is being hit by a typhoon; however, those menacing winds of change will eventually blow out like a storm that comes and goes. Meanwhile, people will become fixated on the unobtainable pursuit of happiness and pleasure even more than they love God. Although they may possess an outward form of religiosity, they will rebuff, refute, refuse, and reject the authentic power that goes along with genuine godliness. I urgently tell you to mentally, spiritually, and physically turn away and remove yourselves from such people. These sorts of people project themselves as “help” with the intention of gaining access into people’s homes to manipulate them—especially targeting some sincere women who feel overwhelmed by frustrations and disappointing failures in life whom the manipulators find easier to influence because they have so many unmet longings. These women are endlessly doing their very best to gain insight needed to help them navigate life, but they are perpetually unable to come to right conclusions based on truth.
