The Protected Mind
6/29/25 Susan Allen
Matt 7:13-NIV "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
The only protection we have from compromise is TRUTH
If we don’t have a PROTECTED MIND, we have an EXPOSED MIND
in danger of DECEPTION
Eph 6:10-kjv Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
God’s TRUTH becomes a HELMET for your mind
FIND the TRUTH of GOD and choose to PUT IT ON OVER your mind
Something is going to strike a blow at what you hear from God’s Word
Mark 4 satan cometh immediately to take the Word that you’ve heard
A protected MIND is a PREPARED MIND
2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
To forget His Word is to forget your helmet
Ps 103:1-kjv Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
(to mislay, to be oblivious of, from want of memory or attention)
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Verse 18 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! WHY is the resurrection so crucial? BECAUSE the EMPTY TOMB is where the POWER OF CHANGE is Rom 8:33 KJV Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. THIS SHOULD CHANGE ME Gal 2:20-ESV I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. 2 Cor 5:14-NIV For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. CHP 6 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. 2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. COMMUNION: In drinking the juice symbolizing the blood of Christ and taking the broken bread symbolizing HIS body broken for you YOU are REMEMBERING, so you do not forget HIS BENEFITS (PS 103) IN taking it, we are CHOOSING to LIVE FREE from our past FREE from the curse of GEN BORN AGAIN…we live differently 1 Cor 11:23- NIV For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.
- Feb 2, 20252/2/25 – Tapping Into His Strength – Susan AllenFeb 2, 20252/2/25 – Tapping Into His Strength – Susan AllenBy: Susan AllenSeries: Faith & BeyondTapping into His Strength 2/2/25 susan allen 2 Cor 11:23 NIV… I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false brothers. 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. 28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? 30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is to be praised forever, knows that I am not lying. 32 In Damascus the governor under King “Are-tas” had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me. 33 But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands. 2 Cor 12:7 KJV - And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. MY GRACE: Grace- Greek word CHARIS – RENNER: a special power that enables a person to be and to do what they could not normally or naturally be or do IS SUFFICIENT: Sufficient- to keep off, to ward off, to raise a barrier, strong enough, (Thayers- to be possessed of unfailing strength, to give protection, to empower and help) FOR THEE: FOR You- FOR you! FOR MY STRENGTH: (the Lord’s strength) Strength- Greek dunamis- dynamic power, strength and ability IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS: Made Perfect: to complete (perfect), i. e. add what is yet lacking in order to render a thing full In Weakness: lack of strength or ability MOST GLADLY THEREFORE WILL I RATHER GLORY IN MY INFIRMITIES: Infirmities: same as the word weakness used above ^ THAT THE POWER OF CHRIST MAY REST UPON ME: That- in order that The Power- dunamis again—dynamic power, strength and ability Of CHRIST- the anointed May Rest Upon – tent upon, cover, abide with, to fix a habitation on Me- ME! THEREFORE: Consequently I TAKE PLEASURE: I think well in infirmities- weaknesses in reproaches- insults in necessities- distress, needs in persecutions- harassment in distresses- a narrow place, pressure fOR CHRIST’S SAKE: (Mark 4:15, 17) FOR WHEN I AM WEAK: Feeble THEN AM I: I exist STRONG: Capable, powerFUL, able
