Does Your Mouth Have A Heart Problem – Susan Allen
Does your mouth have a heart problem? 9/4/22 susan allen 2 Tim 3:16-niv  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. *Our mouth is the magnifier of our heart. The revealer of the content of our heart. James 1:26 NIV If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue (hold it in check, guide it, lead it, restrain it), he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. (barren)   Ps 32:9 NIV Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.   Matt 12:33 NIV "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man brings good things out (draws, flings, thrust) of the good stored up in him (deposit), and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. *WE MUST DEAL with what WE HAVE KEPT in our HEARTS *We can speak and regret, but we will never PREVENT wrong words until we repent in our hearts Matt 15:16 NKJV So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?  17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?  18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man (pollute, make common).  19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.  20 These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."   How do I change my heart?   Eph 4:29 AMP  Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it. (Chosen words, words for a purpose, good word deposit)30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God's own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin). 31 Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind). 32 And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.   Col 3:8 NKJV But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.  14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

    Refocus – Susan Allen
REFOCUS 8/21/22 susan allen   Rom 4:17- KJV 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.18 Who against hope believed in hope (confident expectation), that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:20 He staggered not (wavered not, opposed not) at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith (strengthened in his faith, empowered), giving glory to God;21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.   HE WAS STRONG in faith because -AGAINST HOPE, HE CONTINUED TO BELIEVE IN HOPE- that he might BECOME who God said HE WAS BUT: Used to introduce a phrase or clause contrasting with what has already been mentioned. John Wesley “The devil has given to the church a substitute for faith that looks and sounds so much like faith that people can’t tell the difference.” What do you do when you realize you are weak in an area? Heb 12:2 KJV 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. NIV 1.Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. AMP 2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.  [Ps 110:1.] 3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.   What has my attention? REFOCUS on the author and the PERFECTER of your faith. CONSIDER HIM. LOOK TO HIM.   Num 21:7 kjv  Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
