HE gave us HIS WORD…we GIVE HIM OUR EAGERNESS and ZEAL. ADD- supply and furnish your FAITH- belief, your reliance on Christ for your salvation --- (this is NT all things FAITH used 243 times in the NT…this is JESUS SAW THEIR FAITH, YOUR FAITH has MADE YOU WHOLE, IF you had faith as a mustard seed faith, FAITH comes by hearing FAITH) add VIRTUE- valor, excellence, moral goodness (this is the think on these things virtue of Phil 4:8, the you are a Holy nation, a peculiar people that you should show forth the PRAISE/VIRTUE of HIM who called you out of darkness VIRTUE 1Peter 2:9) and to virtue knowledge; intelligence, seeking to know, investigation, discovering and seeking to understand (this is the knowledge that Paul said he counted all things loss for- THIS knowledge Phil 3:8) verse 6 And to knowledge temperance; self-control, one who masters his desires and passions Vine’s: it follows knowledge because what is learned/discovered REQUIRES to be put into practice (this temperance is the self control is produced by the Spirit led life and is listed as it’s fruit in Gal 5) and to temperance patience; hopeful endurance, constancy Thayer’s: the characteristic of a man who is unswerved from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith and piety by even the greatest trials and sufferings: (this is the patience wherewith we possess our soul Luke 21:19, this patience is the patience of Heb 10 that we HAVE NEED of to receive the promises) and to patience godliness; well to be devout, Godward attitude- does what is well pleasing to Him (this godliness is the godliness of 2 Peter 3:11 what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, it is the godliness we are to pursue 1 Tim 6:11) And to godliness brotherly kindness; love of the brethren, affection toward believers (this brotherly kindness is the honoring and preferring of one another of Rom 12:10) and to brotherly kindness charity. -LOVE, AGAPE, the highest expression of Love, as God has for us, now we have for Him and out of that is born LOVE FOR OTHERS (this love is the love that if we say we love God but hate our brother we are liars 1 John 4:19,20) 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. THE MORE YOU KNOW THE MORE YOU GROW 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. 11 For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 12 Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. 13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder, 14 since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. 15 And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.

- Dec 14, 202512/14/25-The One Who Came Pt 2 – Susan AllenDec 14, 202512/14/25-The One Who Came Pt 2 – Susan AllenBy: Susan AllenSeries: This MonthThe ONE Who Came part 2 12/14/25 Susan Allen Heb 2:14-ESV Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. 17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Heb 4:14-ESV Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Phil 1:27-ESV Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, 28 and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. 29 For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, 30 engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had and now hear that I still have. chp 2:1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, (did not eagerly seek to retain that glory) 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. Because HE took on flesh, I am NO LONGER A SLAVE TO MINE - If you do not see yourself in the picture, you will never change Rom 5:18- ESV Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. 20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. chp 6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. IF you do not see yourself in the PICTURE, you will never change. BUT, if you do see…
