Standing in STRENGTH 11/5/23 susan allen   Josh 1:9-kjv  Have not I commanded thee? BE STRONG- firm, secure, sustained, confident, resolute The command/assignment by God is, in itself, a strength to you Be of GOOD COURAGE- physically and mentally in courage, confirmed, established, assured, don’t be timid Be not AFRAID- don’t dread, don’t be harassed by fear Neither be DISMAYED- broken down by confusion and fear, shattered, sometimes carries an element of being ashamed FOR the Lord thy GOD is with you wherever you go       10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you (supplies) victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it. 12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying, 13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.   2 Cor 1:8 NLT  We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. 9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.   when I am weak THEN am I strong (2 Cor 12:10)   Matt 11:28-AMP  Come to Me, (reach out) all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] (reach out to me, grab ahold of me—substitution is the danger)29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.  [Jer 6:16.] 30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good — not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. What’s your GO-TO when stressed, when you aren’t coping well?    (6960 strongs) qavah  to entwine with Him as ONE, like rope strands braided together for strength Isa 40:28 KJV Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

10/29/23 – Partnering With God – Susan Allen
Partnering With God 10/29/23 susan allen Gen 1:26-AMP  God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.  [Ps 104:30; Heb 1:2; 11:3.] 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.  [Col 3:9,10; James 3:8,9.] 28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.   Gen 2:15 AMP  And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. Ps 115:16 AMP The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth has He given to the children of men. Heb 11:3 AMP  By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.  (Vine’s the ages have been prepared) WHAT is in GOD’s hands and what is in man’s hands? The simple is BOTH By God’s delegated authority to us, there are things we can speak to And by God’s delegated authority there are things we PRAY about in the name of JESUS   example JESUS (Son of God and Son of man) Mark 4:35-KJV And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?   In Chapter 5 we see Him commanding an unclean spirit to come out of a man.He has authority to do that (Luke 10 He gives us the power to do that) But then in Luke we see Jesus PRAY for Simon Peter…not command him   Luke 22:31-ESV  “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”   Why did JESUS not just COMMAND PETER, like HE DID THE unclean spirit? The wind/waves? The authority in Genesis never gave us authority over mankind MANKIND was made in the image and likeness of GOD.   GOD doesn’t even cross that line THIS IS WHY SUBMISSION to AUTHORITY is REQUIRED (to place yourself under) WE have to understand this in praying for other people and Circumstances that involve other people. God cannot JUST CHANGE THEM God partners with us in prayer to give every opportunity for them to submit to His will   “As John Wesley once said, “God does nothing but in answer to prayer.”1* Prayer is therefore not an option for mankind but a necessity. If we don’t pray, heaven cannot interfere in earth’s affairs. It is imperative that we take responsibility for the earth and determine what happens here by our prayer lives.” ― Myles Monroe, Understanding The Purpose And Power Of Prayer

    10/22/23 – Don’t Back Up – Susan Allen
Don’t Back UP 10/22/23 susan allen Ex 3:8 NIV So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey — the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.   Num 13:27-nkjv 27 Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan." 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we." 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."   Josh 14:6- NIV …"You know what the Lord said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh Barnea about you and me. 7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions, 8 but my brothers who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt with fear. I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly. 9 So on that day Moses swore to me, 'The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.' 10 "Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the desert. So here I am today, eighty-five years old! 11 I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. 12 Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said."   1 Tim 6:12 KJV Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.   1 Peter 5:8-niv Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.   This Bible tells you what is yours. The territory God has given you to live in. There is no need to find slavery to your past more attractive just because there are enemies to the promises of God. EXPLORE this territory. Follow God’s step by step instructions and NEVER BACK UP and BACK OUT of the land He has given you as an inheritance.

    Series: In Depth
ONE, Together part 2 WELL BALANCED 10/11/23 In Depth Rom 12:4- NIV Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. (amp-mutually dependent on one another)  6 We have different gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) , according to the grace given us. Vs 10: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor (place a high value on, esteem) one another above yourselves.   1 Cor 12:14 TLB  14 Yes, the body has many parts, not just one part. 15 If the foot says, "I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand," that does not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And what would you think if you heard an ear say, "I am not part of the body because I am only an ear and not an eye"? Would that make it any less a part of the body? 17 Suppose the whole body were an eye-then how would you hear? Or if your whole body were just one big ear, how could you smell anything? 18 But that isn't the way God has made us. He has made many parts for our bodies and has put each part just where he wants it. 19 What a strange thing a body would be if it had only one part! 20 So he has made many parts, but still there is only one body. 21 The eye can never say to the hand, "I don't need you." The head can't say to the feet, "I don't need you." vs24... So God has put the body together in such a way that extra honor and care are given to those parts that might otherwise seem less important. 25 This makes for happiness among the parts, so that the parts have the same care for each other that they do for themselves. 26 If one part suffers, all parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. 27 Now here is what I am trying to say: All of you together are the one body of Christ, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.   THIS way of THINKING makes a healthy well-balanced BODY/team/home/workspace Different situations call for different giftings! Look for and VALUE what each person BRINGS to the table   Luke 5:1- NIV  One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God, 2 he saw at the water's edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." 5 Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets." 6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!" 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon's partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men."  .   God wants to use what’s in you to build/strengthen the body of Christ   Rom 12:3 Amp  For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.
