- May 11, 20255/11/25 – Faith That Changes Things: Faith Not Fiction – Susan AllenMay 11, 20255/11/25 – Faith That Changes Things: Faith Not Fiction – Susan AllenBy: Susan AllenSeries: This MonthFaith That Changes Things Faith Not Fiction 5/11/25 Susan Allen Heb 11:1 KJV - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. AMP- NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. 2 For by [faith — trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. Q: WHAT IF, what you are persuaded of becomes substance? FAITH IS NOT A FAIRY TALE -it is a testimony STAY IN FAITH AS YOU GROW Rom 4:17- (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Gen 12:1-NIV The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. 2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." 4 So Abram left, as the Lord had told him… Ps 18:34-KJV He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. Rom 12:3….God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Rom 10:117 NIV Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Mark 5:24-KJV And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue(Pursue) it. James 3:18 And the peaceable fruits of righteousness are sown for the practisers of peace. He who labours to live peaceably shall have peace for his reward. (Translation from Adam Clarke) Psalms 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. {perfect...: Heb. peace, peace} {mind: or, thought, or, imagination} Isaiah 26:12 ¶ LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. Romans 5:1 ¶ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. But the disciples told them to go away. 16-17 Then Jesus called the children over to him and said to the disciples, "Let the little children come to me! Never send them away! For the Kingdom of God belongs to men who have hearts as trusting as these little children's. And anyone who doesn't have their kind of faith will never get within the Kingdom's gates." - SAY (say what God says about it)
With God-I can overcome anything. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith
You give me the strength to handle anything I face. Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I am a good listener and I know what to say at the right time. Isa 50:4 The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. I have power above my natural ability. Power to love, to handle situations and keep my mind strong. I have no reason to be afraid. 2 Tim 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. You understand me. You sculpted my body- like an amazing artist - I am your masterpiece. Ps 139:1-God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight. You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too -your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful, I can't take it all in! Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you're there! If I go underground, you're there! If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon, You'd find me in a minute, you're already there waiting! Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I'm immersed in the light!" It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you. Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God, you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration, what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day.
