Living Above Need

It’s great to have a need or needs met, but how much better would it be to never be in need?  Jesus said that He came that we might have life (zoe) and life more abundantly.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I believe God’s desire is to give us life where there is no need.  I believe that was His intent when He placed Adam and Eve in the garden.  During the age in which we live we must receive everything by faith, but there is coming a time when God said, “Before you ask, I will answer”.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Until that day comes, we have the ability to live by faith and live above need.

When Israel was on their way to the Promised Land, God met every need when they asked.  He told them when they entered the Promised Land they would inherit great and goodly cities which they did not build, houses full of good things which they did not fill, wells they didn’t dig, and vineyards and olive trees they did not plant. Then He cautioned them, “When thou shalt have eaten and be full; beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.”

 Deuteronomy 6:1-12

The New Testament is our Promised Land.  When believers live by faith they receive above what they can do or deserve on the basis of the Covenant.  When you accepted Jesus as your Lord, you became an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus.  In other words, you have a right to receive what Jesus has the right to receive.

Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Why just believe for your needs to be met?  Why not believe to live above the needs?  Be blessed so you can be a blessing to others.

Genesis 12:2 “I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.”

Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Be blessed and be a blessing!!!!!!!!!!
